The Homeless Advocacy Project provides regular volunteer orientation sessions for new volunteers and hosts a series of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) training programs often in collaboration with other public interest law groups to support volunteers in their efforts to aid the homeless.

"Ethical Considerations in Representing Homeless Clients"

The CLE provides:

  • 2 ethics CLE credits. The course is open without charge to current and prospective volunteers.
  • A discussion of the challenges of providing legal representation to individuals experiencing homelessness, and an attorney’s obligations under the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct.
  • An overview of White and Williams’ pro-bono partnership with HAP at Our Brother’s Place, Bethesda Project.
